Combineman, judging from past experience, your dealer is probably right. We have lost several on 1660_80s over the years that have had the Cummins engines. The last I knew(and this has been several years ago) Case_CDC_Cummins had determined the problem and had fixed the problem(they always seem to break the housing by the idler gear on the oil pump). I guess we have not had any repeat failures on the engines that we had put new_Reman pumps put in. At least it is easy to change. I would advise replacing it but others may not agree.
