I don't know what size platform you are looking on upgrading to but if you stay with the same size you could probably just take the mount off of your series II flex head. The part that connects to your machine. You would probably have to cut the throat hole wider anyways. I'd look into it anyways because if it works you shouldn't have any money in it except maybe bolts and rivets. I hope this helps, and that I'm not to late. Curt
