About 10 or so years ago, I ran across some folks at the Triumph of Ag Show in Omaha. They were from Iowa, and had just applied for a patent on sieves of this type. You might search the website at the US patent office--If you can find the cover sheet, you'll find names and the town they're from. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure how deeply they were dropped down in the center, but if you consider clearances, I don't believe it could have been much more than about 3-4 inches at the most.

I saw them back in '88. They were called the AlM-SCHUlER grain saver, air controlled slope system, out of Griswold, Iowa. leonard Alm 712-778-4394 and Murry Schuler 712-774-2248.
