Combines 540 Versus Deere 4400

Well i dont know about where your from but any thing green (excluding oliver) sells for 2x the price. I mean i live in NE Kansas and i've never seen anything sell as well as a JD anywhere. But i've ran a 4400 and didnt like it. Just didnt clean the grain like i wanted it to but if there is one thing a massey can do is clean grain. If i was you i'd buy a Grey cabed 750 spend the extra money and get the better machine in my opinion. Hope this helps

The Deere has a higher resale because there aren't near as many 4400's around and mostly because its green. Being green doesn't make it any better, in fact the 540 will kick its butt in wheat and small grains, but because its green some idiot will be willing to pay more for it.
