I don't know if you have the small grain concaves or the corn_soybean concaves. Either set will work, but I prefer the small grain. Iwould leave all the wires in and install atleast 2 cover plates to ensure that the heads are all carried back to the rasp bars instead of falling through the concave prior to reaching them. You must be carefull not to overthresh or grind up the straw to bad or you can overload the shoe with little peices. We removed some of the knives on our rotar(starting from the front) and that reduced the amount of broken straw on our shoe and really improved our performance. Make sure to follow instructions in your manual if removing knives, cause you must keep the rotar in balance. I'm no expert, just some things that worked for me. Jim
