Are you asking which combine is better OR cheaper. Yes, the 8680 is lower cost, but it isn't nearly as "feature rich" as the New Holland. I deliberated over this question before I bought my C62, and I preferred the New Holland. The reason I chose the Gleaner was because I heard through a relatively reliable source that New Holland has planned to discontinue building the TX series, in favour of a new North American built conventional which will share the same powertrain and body as a new single rotor and twin rotor design, to be introduced within the next year or so. I didn't want to "knowingly" buy obsolesence! The C62_8680 seems a little under-powered, and the 128" walkers just don't make the grade. It does, however, perform very well in corn and beans. If New Holland were to commit to building the TX series for another 5 years, I would have bought one in spite of the price difference.
