I was lucky enough to be part of a combine demo that involed a 2188,TR98, JD9600,and a MASSEY 8780 rotary combine. The JD shoulded had even been invited, the driver was pretty embarrased. The 2188 was bit faster and kept most of the grain in and did a good job.The TRwas the next best thing to the MASSEY but when he began to push it to catch up he plugged it very tight. They tried to unplug it in the field for about two hours and gave up and brought to the dealership for help. They plugged the MASSEY on purpose to see how long it take to unplug. They just hit the button and the whole combine turned backwards, took about 45 secounds and we were thrashing again. Farmer traded the TR for the MASSEY.

I bet that 9600 cut better than any of them.our neighbor has a 1680 and at top speeds cats corn at 4.5mph in 200 bu_a corn.with an 8r30.We cut 200+ bu_a corn at 6.0 mph . With an 8r30. We left very little grain on the ground. Angd we cut it with the best combine made a 9600.
