I think you should go with the new holland TR combine... the best answer is if you try in the field and see what you think... I think you should get the TR. It is a good combine

I have used a TR86 since 1990 on 1200 to 1400 acres. We run about70 cows, and have allways been able to bale enough straw. If the straw is very dry (grain less than 12%) you will find the straw hard to pick up and bale. If the straw is too dry we drop the straw for baling after dark. A TR 86 or 87 will likely put though as much barley as your two 914s in a good day.Good luck.

We have run TR's since 1976 and the only trick to getting straw is to keep the baler right behind the combine. It makes beautiful bedding especially in small squares for in the barn.

The New Holland does a good job on straw, plus it is very convienient to switch back and forth between chopping and windrowing straw.
