Combines Stripper Header on 485

Sounds like you just wasted two tons of money. Why would you buy the combine with the largest threshing and separating capicity in the world and then run a minimum of material through it as fed from the stripper headerIJ I cannot understand the logic. Do your fields allow you to drive in road gear so you can get enough material into the combine to allow it to work effecientlyIJ

Sorry to sound so sarcastic in my previous comment. My experience in small grain with this machine is to follow the book settings and drive real fast to fill it up. (safely of course)

Where will you be cutting wheatIJ Some local folks have a 485, but only use it in corn (where it's a real hog)and still use their 8820 in wheat. As long as lexion has been around, I haven't been able to observe one in small grains, and would sure like to see what takes place. Thanks in advance for the info. I'd have emailed direct, but have lost some addresses, probably thru operator error.
