In most conditions it is better to run your rotor's at 962 for small grains. If your cleaning system starts to get overloaded, then slow them down, but be sure to check your separation loss then. Also, check to make sure you have the proper separation grates installed. The corn grates have more separtion capacity, but also overload the shoe it really dry conditions. The corn grates holes are longer perpendicular to the crop flow. Another way to check is that there are permanent perforation in the grates already, the small grain grates have the same hole orientation as the permanent grates.
