Combines canola settings on 470

We haven't done any canola with our 480 yet but in winter wheat we were having problems with shoe loss until we pulled out the risers. They weren't allowing the grain to settle out, once we pulled them out the problem was solved.

We have had a problem with canola on a 480, but not a 460 in the same field. Must have something to do with the rotor speed. We are going to try slowing down rotor speed becouse of the sieves being overloaded with the brittle straw from canola. I will post results as soon as we have them.

Try running the rear rotors as slow as you can ,and then back off the drum speed .Then just keep opening the concave up until you get it right. Are you running with the big pre concave or the little onesIJ

In Manitoba people are having success blanking out the back third of the rotors increases capacity by 2-3mph while doing a better job of saving the canola
