Combines 95E challenger

We drove a JD 9400T for a day. From what we have heard, the E series rumble when you transport down the road. The 9400T does not because the small wheels on the track are space differently so that they are not all going over a lug at the same time. The 9400T will out turn the 95E because Deere has the drawbar pinned in the center of the tractor, not the rear. The wide swinging drawbar also is the main reason why the 9400T will out turn the 95E. Deere also claims that their speed sensative steering and a bigger back drive wheel improve turning. We own a regular 9400. If anything, the ride was a little rougher but not by very much. It will be interesting to see if Cat comes out with a tall rear wheel and a wide swinging drawbar because they can't compete with Deere without those features. We never have run an air drill with a track machine yet, but we are thinking about going to tracks sometime in the near feature.

how much air pressure was in the air bags on the undercarraige. that can make some difference. most all the large frames in my area run around 85 lbs of air pressure. this pushes down the bogey wheels and lets you turn better also. the new mt series will ride better because of the marshmallows the chassis is mounted on. will actually let the tracks oscillate about 6 in. independently. the large frame version of the mt series is rumored to be released next summer. have had one machine out here on an airdrill and it worked out really well. one customer pulls a 63ft. fallow master with his 95E and doesnt have any problems working the outside of the fields and around sloughs. just have to learn the particulars of how to drive the machine. have you guys tried out a john deere T series yetIJ just curious to get your opinion of how they compare. from my personal experience the T series rode a lot rougher than the 95E and the transmission in the T left a lot to be desired. found out neither machine was very smooth when going down the road but made up for that when you got into the field.
