Combines lights

On the back flashers on a 9000 series machine the middle wire is hot. It is easy to locate and you can just tie it on there. If you do any roading at night however, those back lights are not very friendly to the person driving the combine behind you.

I had the same problem with a 1680. If you take the access panel off the left side of the cab exterior there is a connector toward the back of the harness that supplies the power. It is a multipin screw together connector with @ 6-8 wires in it. I think some of the wires are white w_red. I had some of the contact pins burned up. Replaced them and cured the problem.

Thanks JohnTN for the help. I found the plug you were talking about and cleaned it out and tightened it tighter when I put it back on and the bank for lights came back on!
