Combines Combine update s

We've seen some whitecapping and more chaff on the shoe than there should be. Since the concaves are new, we've been able to adjust most of the problem out by readjusting the back of the concave up about 3_16" to 1_4" closer to the cylinder and running the front more open. This also appears to keep a little more grain off the walkers, and seems to be carrying the straw thru wtihout tearing it up as badly.

Any time you buy a new Deere combine, you need to be sure the concave is adjust properly. I have experienced this in setting up new 9610.
