when you buy your header, check to see if there is a wiring harness leaving from the left hand side of the header, behind the rt. hand shield. if there is a small box, +_- 6" in a triangular fashion conected to a rod above the flex plates, this is a dial a matic. you need the basic auto control sys. there should be some type of sensor connected to that rod. also, make sure above the feeder house, under the cab, there is a short link chain to adjust the lift height for this sys. if you find a header with the d.a.m., and want to convert the machine, it is not a difficult or expensive process and is time well spent.
