Combines Rock Door vs Rock Trap

I am tired of fighting the rock door also. It's hard to close by yourself, and comes open when it's tough even when it's set tight. I think it would be a good idea to eliminate the extra seams the door creates in the rotor too.

Here's what I would suggest for rock door. Install the rock door hump for that will improve feed to cylinder and it will respond to a rock better. Have rock sump kit on hand so it can be installed for extreme rocky conditions and be ready to remove it if feeding is bothering. The hump can stay on the door when you lock it open to create the sump and the sump can be reversed back and forth quite quickly. Now to keep that door closed like it should you need to install the third helical extention like I mentioned in green soybean post about a month and a half ago. I have been threw that door problem and helical extention did eliminate the problem completely. I am presuming you have the std. pitch helicals and they are in fair condition. Good luck. Dan
