Combines R62 vs R72

Brian, We went from a R62 to a R72. The 62 had the Deutz engine in it wo we saw a huge difference in engine torque. The 62 had a 300hp engine in it so we didn't know how much difference we would see. There was a huge difference. The extra torque in the 72 did allow me to run the cylinder slower in corn and still get a lot of harvesting done. I couldn't tell with the beans, ours were so green stemed that we couldn't get them up the feeder house without plugging. We finally double springed the rear feeder chain torque limiter clutch. The horsepower in the 72 is just awesome. If you come to a heavy spot you can just feeeellll the horsepower pick up the elctronic governing is really neat. Most of the time we wouldn't see more than 40-50 rpm drop from empty to loaded rpm. Don't know if I answered your question or not, but hope this helps
