Combines Will mods work on R52 as wellIJ

I had trouble with the variable speed on the cylinder 2 years ago. It turned out to be an O-ring in the drive sheave. If you have the same trouble, you would see oil all over the side of your machine. Tom Russell

Agarian, Yes, the mods. posted below will most definitely work on your machine.If you are running corn_soybeans,make sure that you pull every other wire from concave if your wires measure 7_8"-1" center to center.Definitely extend the cylinder bars into the discharge area,whether you go with the factory setup or make your own out of used cylinder bars.Either way it is a must to get the material into the discharge area to keep the flow smooth.Reverse bars on a R52,you may have to leave two on,in the center,not at the end.(take them all out if possible)As for the header wanting to slow down,more than likely you have a poppet in the variable speed header valve not seating,a o-ring on the poppet seat,or like Tom mentioned a external leak on the variable speed asy. itself. Yes, do the moding. For sure don't skip the feeder shocks and extended bars. loewen Mfg. has these kits too. Corn head slowing up can be external leak, reel lower or raise popet for that is the valve they use for varible but more likely it is the 500 psi relief valve that is right next to the reel lift hose that you couple together for varible operation.
