For corn and soybeans, use keystock grates. The slotted are for wheat and other cereal grains, the smooth are for sunflowers. Every other wire out of 2ndand3rd concaves is normal for a 1400 series combine since they have less concave area than a 1600 and later combine. Also the cage is not as open over the grates. If the rotor skin and rasp bar lugs are not badly damaged, there would be nothing wrong with rebuilding your existing rotor. If you get parts at your dealer, a rasp bar kit runs about $200 (15 bars),impeller kit with wear bars is about $600 and usually you can flip over your straight bars to another unused edge, if it is a high hour machine, you may want to check_replace the rotor drive hub ($180)
