in our area it depends on the wheat variety, and how clean you want your sample. I would go with a n1 small grain concave, and a 1-1_8" small grain shoe sieve at a minimum. The 2-3 concaves with large wires, and every other wire pulled will usually work ok. I have seen varieties of bearded wheat where we have to put in all 3 sm grain concaves, and block off the first one to get the stuff threashed. Also - zero out your concaves before season, so you make sure you're getting the concaves tight enough.
