Combines water pump on F2

Where did you get your pumpIJ We got ours from NAPA and they had the original cast one. I would think the new one would work, but if I were in your shoes, I would get it rebuilt if you aren't in a major hurry or check elsewhere. -Ed

replaced the water pump on my k2, gm 250 gas engine with a cast aluminum with no problems. ran it for 5-6 years then traded k2 for r42.

I purchased the new water pump at napa, They told me there is no cast iron pump available, only cast aluminum. so I guess it should be ok, if not I will learn the hard way with the fan in the radiator!!!! thank you guys for your responses. 5288

You might want to keep the old water pump and have it rebuilt if and when you need to replace the new one. I doubt the core price will change much over time.
