Combines Want 1480 header to lift higher

Could you play with the tire pressure, let some out of the rear and increase the front to get a few inches more.

Can you raise the machine with the final drivesIJ You can on a 1680. I think it gives you atleast 3" and it's free! There are two sets of mounting holes where the final drives mount to the axle. Maybe you have already done thatIJ

We have a 1480 with the small tires,that always had a hard time getting over header trailers. We extended the lower cylinder mounts several inches. It now lifts high as possible without jamming the hinge joint. It raised the header about 5 inches.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to make the extensions a couple inches longer. That should give me enough height.
