talked to Nathan K ,our Cummins guru. Culprit in many cases - not saying it is yours per say - is low sulphur fuel. REAllY causing problems, no matter what the 'experts' say. Standyne makes a fuel lubricant, OR 1 qt of ATF (Dex III) or whatever the trade name is now, per about 30 gallons for the first tank full them 1 qt per 50 gals. has 'fixed' many problems the last 2 years for us. We have had tractos with sticking racks, sticking metering valves ( tractors die when throttle pulled back or erratic gov action) repaired this way.. It is a cheap, no risk remedy at the least.
