it will be fine, I would pack the flanges with grease, or better yet install or find a flange with a zerk. While on the subject, we also carefully pop out the seal on large brgs like main clutch shaft brgs that are not metal shielded and clean out and repac with high temp grease to a 50% pac - if they are short on grease - and about half are - from all mfgs.
