It would make perfect sense why they broke when bearings were not snug in sheave or inner race loose on shaft. But if this is no longer the case only one thing comes to mind. Be sure the straps are twisted the right way. The power should be transfered threw these strap by pulling on them (not pushing). However small the chance is the straps may have been pivoted the wrong way!!!!
