Very observant, John. It IS the St. John rotor! I smell a rat in the woodpile and see a patent infringement lawsuit in the making [IJ].

I ran a 8780xp next to a R62 for a couple days. We were cuttting 40 bu wheat and it would out cut the 62 but the shoe was maxed out. It also seemed like i had to adjust the massey a lot more to do a good job. if they change a couple things on it I have no doubt it can out cut a R72

Would it be possible that AGCO is either buying the rotor from St. John's or paying royalties for the use of the designIJ AGCO's "Performance Kit", which is extended rasp into the discharge, is made by Sunnybrook and sold by AGCO. The name "Sunnybrook" is cast right into the back of the bars. I find it hard to believe that AGCO would outright copy a patented design - that's Deere's department! Tom langan
