Combines Increasing hp on TR

You can safely turn the injection pump up to top of spec. I would never go beyond, for a few reasons. The TR99 has larger sprockets on the rotors and gearboxes to stand up to the extra horsepower. It also has a tighter spring and better cams inside of the tourque sensor and a different rotor belt compared to the TR98. If you crank it up too much, it will become harder on fuel and run hotter. The mentioned changes were made for a reason - too handle thew added horsepower. FYI these changes can easily be retrofitted on your TR98.

im in australia so conditions are probably different but we have and about a dozen other 98 owners have been running engine rpm at 2450 and that makes them really hang in there when the going gets tuff.Have heard reports of 99 owners increasing hp to 300 hp and rotor gearboxes dont like it at all.
