I am not sure why that is, I found that out last year myself. I will ask the old man in the morn. seems to always know the answers! just got done doing some bills, so far looks like a good year, about 800 acres of corn and beans done with 1700+ to go. One thing I have learned is that this 99 is alot different than the "8" series machines, biggest problem we have is not going fast enough. So much more capicity and we weren't keeping the machine full.

I found that out a long time ago when we had a TR70. I was running corn out the back and the more I raised it, the more would walk out. I think the deal is if it is raised it will hold small cobs and thrash on the chaffer and fill it over, then corn just walks over the stuff and out the back. If you do a kill stall you can see this. We keep it down all the time now. Seems to do a better job in all crops and gives more capacity.
