I don't know the answers to your questions but do know that the clutch and input shaft from 7700 deere fit our tr70. We were trying to change the bearings in the bell housing in a NH shop when area man(block manIJIJ) was present. He instructed us to keep pressing. "it would pop loose". Cracked bell housing!! I'd been told deeres would interchange so I suggested THEY could get a salvage deere to get us going he said they wouldn't interchange. While dismanteling he noticed the bolt heads had "jd" on them. His reaction was "Huh, JD make their own bolts". Needless to say the break was for me to fix and the green one fit right up.

I know that the TR70 uses the same transmission as the 7700 Deere.......JD does not mke their own bolts. jd is the name of a company that makes nuts and bolts.....most people are to ignorant to know this. I have a good tranny in a TR70 I could sell located in Alberta. Combine has about 3200 hours on it and still runs good.
