Combines When did they change to these better deck plates on corn heads

I think this year. I saw a new one at my dealer and I really like the tapered row-unit frames which allow material buildup to slide out under the gathering chains and onto the ground. The points on the end of the snouts have been improved, as well as the deckplate adjustment linkage. I know what you mean about the old deckplates. As soon as I can buy these new ones I am putting them onmy 1230. I have to say that the lexion cornhead has held up better than any other I have had. In four seasons I haven't spent a dime on it, other than grease, and there isn't a single knife blade worn, looks like it will easily last another 4 years.
