ANOTHER HOT FARM AUCTION YESTERDAY Yesterday (Nov. 16, 2013) I covered a small farm estate auction in southeast Minnesota, about 80 minutes up the road near Northfield, MN. A few sale price highlights: 1990 Ford-NH 8830 MFWD tractor with 3388 hours: $37,500 1974 JD 4230 tractor, shows 3565 hours, QR: $24,500 2001 Bobcat 873 skid steer with 1425 hours: $22,250 Farm King/Buhler Y9600 8' snow blower: $3,950 JD 7000 6R-30 planter, dry fert: $8,250 IHC 470 21.5' disk: $3,400Some awfully strong sale prices there you can tell I'm sure. $37,800 on the Ford-NH 8830 tractor is by FAR (by $3,700) the highest auction sale price I've seen in 15 years. And $24,500 on the 1974 JD 4230 tractor ties the highest auction sale price I've seen anywhere in the past 18 years.
