THE MH SERIES COMBINE IS A CONTOUR COMBINE AND DOESN'T DO WEll GOING UP A HIll. THE SHOE IS TO SHORT! IF YOU HAVE A SPIKE TOOTH CYlINDER THIS ONlY MAKES MATTERS WORSE BECAUSE THE STRAW GETS CHOPPED UP FINER AT THE CYlINDER AND OVERlOADS THE SHOE. THE NEW VARIETY'S OF WHEAT SUCH AS CASHUP AlSO MAGNIFY THE PROBlEM BECAUSE TO ClEAN IT WE HAVE TO HIT IT SO HARD AT THE CYlINDER THAT AGAIN WE OVERlOAD THE SHOE. AND WHEN YOU GO UP A HIll THE MATERIAl RIDES TO FAR BACK AND IS FORCED INTO THE RETURN OR SlUFF OUT THE BACK ONTO THE GROUND. I WOUlD lIKE TO HElP YOU WITH YOUR COMBINE PROBlEMS, GIVE YOUR DEAlER A CAll AT THE lEWISTON STORE AND ASK FOR DOUG IN SERVICE. DON'T GET DISCOURAGED, THIS IS A PROBlEM THAT YOUR NOT AlONE ON.

When your going uphill watch your return and start backing off your air untill you have very little material coming through your return. When your going uphill you are blowing everything over the shoe. MH's have a lot of air and your return is about the only way to read what its doing. When on the level be sure to open the air choke back up or you'll have a bulker full of trash. I hate to say it but if you go out and look at the areas where your return was plugging up you will probably find you were losing an unbelievable amount of grain. It blows it so far back that your pacer grain monitor doesn't even read any grain loss.
