Whizz.......that's fine and dandy but, Dad's complaining of the same thing when it comes to the swinging out the auger. He said one way isn't so bad but the other way you darned near have to use both hands to twist that handle. Any suggestions to make it easier for himIJ He's getting older and I'd like to make his ole massey run a little easier for him. This is an 860 also by the way. Deerebines

My 850 was really stiff to swing the auger out too. We bought another 850 and it was easy as pie to swing out the auger. I got out the penetrating oil and lubricated all the moving points in the linkage from the handle right back to and including the spool valve. Now it works great, can easily do it with very little effort.

Ok goob. I'll giver a try. Thanks alot for the advice. lIke my old diesel instructor told me once. The hardest problems have the simplest solutions. Never fails.
