An "aging" Cargill crop input facility and dealership in southeastern Saskatchewan will close permanently by midweek.

The Canadian arm of the U.S. agrifood firm said Monday it will close its farm service centre at Langbank, Sask., about 115 km west of Virden, Man., effective Wednesday (Feb. 15).

Farmer customers "will not be impacted by this change," farm service group manager Sheldon Spearman said in a release.
Cargill said it would continue to work with local customers through its neighbouring ag input centres, including Balcarres and Yorkton, Sask., and Elva and Oakner, Man.
