A FLOCK of sheep fleeing floods were mown down and killed by a train after straying on to a rail line.
More than 30 animals were wiped out in the incident at Blackford, near Auchterarder, Perthshire.
The Aberdeen to Glasgow train service was disrupted for almost three hours.
An investigation has been launched into the incident, which happened around 8.30pm. It’s not clear who owned the sheep but the cost of losing the livestock could be near £3000.
