    Pay what you want?

I think your wife is right on the money. I can see PWYW pricing working out for a charity, but that's about it. I understand your viewpoint. However, you should consider that your regular customers might really think your prices are too high. Maybe they just go along with it because you have...

    Hot air balloons

No, but I would love to. I've never even seen one in real life. How cool is that you get to be up close and personal with a balloonist. I didn't even know there was such a thing.

    Harvest blues

I usually have about three months out of the year when I don't have any clients. Not having a daily purpose can get pretty tiring, so I try to use that time in other productive ways. I spend it researching upcoming trends, looking at my advertising plan, and checking out my sources to make...

    Carving into live trees

I have a client that wants me to carve wildlife scenes into some live trees. Is it possible to carve into the trunk without killing the tree? I know it's an odd question, but I believe we have some tree farmers here, so I'm hoping for some tips.

    Name that plant

I decided to take your advice. When I pulled into the drive, I finally noticed that the flowers are fake. Apparently she sells fantasy followers on Etsy. No wonder they looked so exotic. I'm still feeling a bit sheepish. They looked real from the road, though.

    Preventing theft of ATV/UTV

What do you guys use to protect your recreational vehicles from theft when you're using them away from home? It's not always practical to take a covered trailer.

Type of Tractor, small 10 acre hobby farm

@j_kraut, I hope you'll let us know what you decided to go with and whether it's working out for you. Tractors are the backbone of farming, and there are so many to choose from that it's hard to settle on one.

Please post your intruduction in this forum!

Hey guys! I turned my landscaping company into something much bigger than just mowing, planting flowers, cutting down trees, and raking leaves. I decided to offer more services after the financial crisis hit, in order to find new clients who were looking for more complicated things like...

    Blueberries

Blueberry bushes are easy to grow. They usually start producing fruit within three to five years, so you'll have to be patient until then. They continue to produce fruit for years, though, so it's well worth the wait.

    Name that plant

I doubt it was a hibiscus. The flowers were the same bright magenta color, and it appeared to be a bushy plant, but it was different from anything I've seen before.

    Name that plant

This is driving me crazy. I've googled everything I can think of, but I still can't find the name of the plant. Its flowers were as big as dinner plates. They were a bright fuchsia color. I saw it from the road, so I didn't get a look at the leaves. There were several flowers on the plant...

    Beekeeping tech

I've been looking into beekeeping as a hobby. Have you seen this outfit? How Flow Works They claim that you can use their setup to tap a hive much like you'd tap a maple tree. They raised a ton of money through Indiegogo. I wonder if it actually works. It sounds too good to be true.

    Mobile butchers

There's a mobile meat processing unit around here. I believe they handle the whole thing from start to finish. I bet it's expensive to use. I can see the appeal though, since the coronavirus and hacker activity has closed some of the other plants.

burning my grass and planting lettuce with a push seeder, pictures of pests, looking for advice

I'll try that then. I wasn't aware that ladybugs were into raisins, and those are easy enough to fetch, so I'll grab some at the store when I go. Thanks for the tips! You could always sell ladybug houses too down the road. Good luck with your crop of greens!

What in the world did I unearth?

Welcome to the forum! I've tried running a similar image search, but nothing useful pops up to help identify it. You might try asking at reddit.com/r/whatisthisthing/, @Ayliniemi. I'd like to know what is too, so I hope you'll post an update if you find out.
