It’s actually important to always think one step forward, not just for farming, I believe. I usually discuss it with my family. Mostly about the financial part.
I have done some designing work in the past and it was fun. But for the farm, it’s a different task. It’s pretty difficult for me to design. I have tried though. But I feel like it just doesn’t fit.
Audiobooks help too. But really depends on the person. When I’m listening and getting my work done at the same time, sometimes I cannot hear anything at all.
Honestly it’s not every much different than last year. COVID-19 hit us all hard but life is still surrounding the usual routine, if you know what I’m saying.
We usually just cook. Gifts really depend. Because our family tradition doesn’t emphasise giving gifts to each other. Usually food and more food. I guess we just like eating.
There are more discounts from farmers and stores than I expected in my area. Honestly, it’s a surprise to me. It’s true that the economy is going downward and I guess we need to help each other.
Rainbow roses are interesting. I saw people growing before. They are interesting but sadly I usually see colors that are unevenly distributed. Maybe there are some specific techniques that one has to take care of?
Durability indeed! I don’t want anything that will be broken in a couple of years. Of course the cost is very much in my calculation but whether it has good reputations is also very important to me.
Not bad. If it’s not corona, then I should be travelling around this time of the year. It’s getting hotter but I find it pretty comfortable right now. I wish to travel freely in August or so.
I always want to have a bigger farm. It’s in my list right now. Hopefully I can get it done later this year or next year. Maybe I will call it a success if I succeed in having a bigger farm.
The best gift for your mother this year is probably to keep a distance from her, honestly... As elder people get infected easier than younger ones. Fortunately I live with my mother, I will cook more dishes that she likes.
The stereotype thing is true. And they don’t understand how important the agricultural industry is. Some educational programs should help, like what Nathaniel has said. But I doubt if people even bother to work on these programs.
If we think positively, we have our gardening skills that a lot of people don’t. We are already quite lucky in a sense, if the worst case scenario indeed happens. I suppose the basics we have in the garden will help us survive for a period at least.
I still need to go shopping for at least once a week. I have already tried my best, honestly. I used to shop for like 3 times a week. But right now I don’t see problems for once a week so far. If the situation gets worse though, I might rethink about my strategy.
I was suggested to own some kind of automatic milking machines but I was thinking shouldn’t it be better to do it manually with your cows or am I just being too traditional?
