Have the powers that be determined where farmworkers are classed on the priority chain for the COVID-19 vaccine? It seems like the classification would be 1b for non-health care frontline workers. Is that your understanding too?

I think the CDC issued some guidelines, but the states still have plenty of leeway to decide how to prioritize their vaccines. In one state a person who works as a butcher or in a grocery store might get it while a farmworker might not and vice versa. It's very up in the air. One variable that wasn't expected was the number of health care workers who have refused to take the vaccination, both in nursing homes and hospitals. That frees the vials up for someone else - if they can get it in time.

Is it only me or, the COVID-19 vaccine hype has slowed down a bit this year? When the companies announced the vaccine trials, every person was excited and looking forward to the roll-outs. Now almost everyone is unsure about the mechanisms to be used!

Here in my area, they aren't even done vaccinating the health care workers. There isn't enough of the vaccine. We certainly aren't hearing more about it now here like we were before.
