Have phones ended walkie-talkies on farm?

Our walkie-talkies are acting up. I've looked into replacing them with a few Relay devices, but really, I don't see the point. Everyone seems to have a cell phone, so it's easy to keep in communication while out and about on the farm. Have cell phones made walkie-talkies obsolete on the farm or do some folks still use them? Is there any advantage?

We haven't used a walkie-talkie here in years (probably since cell phones). We have play ones. I do believe the last time we really used them was on an ATV trip.

Call me old school, we still use walkie-talkie's. We also use cell phones but we do use those too. Honestly I think it's easier - push button and talk. I bet you can find some online.

I can only see a reason to use them if you've got bad cell phone reception in your area. I'm sure places like that still exist.

We still use them from time to time. It's nice when you have 3 or 4 connected. You can talk amongst yourselves without having to call 3 people. I think they are fun too!
