Combines 820 hyd motor bypassing too much

If the header has a tee handle on right side of header in a hydraulic line you would have a so called torque limiter_slip clutch built into reel drive. If it has this you may want to turn it in. If it is turned in all the way and still won't hold torque you can remove it and plug the line (should never need to do that on a 20') removing and caping line will allow higher pressure than valve can be set for. Also check the brass inline check valve on right side. There could be something stuck in it allowing the oil to leak by when you are tring to run reel. The oil will normally run backwards threw this valve when header is not engaged. Good luck

Dan there is no valve in the line on the right side of head, but there is a valve under the ladder area that has ajustable setting on it it's in line of one of the hyd. lines, it also has two elec. wires attached to it I'm assuming this is the valve the variable rate knob goes to. is that the ajustment you are reffering toIJ Bob

The valve I'm talking about is on right side of header if it had the option installed. It would be evident. The brass one way check valve would be on right side of header on rear surface. You would find it teed into pipes that go to reel motor. There could be something stuck in the check valve
