The 36 foot 1042 will work well on a 2388. Get the Auto Header Height control for it. The price for a good quality rigid draper header is probably $500-700 per foot. If you want to run in soybeans you may be better off to run a 1052 or a 2052 or 2062. They are superior in running on the ground. The price for one of these is probably $900 (for the rigid 2052) to $1500 per foot (for the flexdraper)
