Combines Ground Speed R52

Check the ground speed impulse reader and the disc which is mounted on the end of gearbox shaft. you may have too much clearance there to pick up the impulses that are generated as the holes in the disc pass the reader. If the disc is bent or warped, only one side may be reading. We changed our MPH readout to kilometres per hour on our R62 by making a new disc with 13 holes drilled into it rather than the original eight holes. Took a couple of hours to convert. Rolf got into the adjustments on the side of the steering console and using a GPS, adjusted to a very accurate ground speed readout. Time moves on and we now use a cheap bog standard GPS unit for ground speed readout.

Should have added that for anybody converting to KPH from MPH by changing the disc, also has to adjust the auto reel speeds and etc under the console on the RH cab side. Does the newer AGCO gear have selectable options re alternative metric or American measurements. And when is the USA going to advance to the 20th century with it's measuring system and fall into line with the other 180 odd nations around the world who are now in the 21st century IJ

I'm making a bet you have a new enough '94 to have hourmeters in tack module. We've had a few of these newer modules lose there constants over winter or some electrical surge. You need to pull module to have dealer recalibrate ground speed constant. You could even do in machine after you remove plastic from around it to expose buttons for calibrations. Newer machines had hole in plastic to access calibration buttons. You'll need to know tire specs to install proper calibration number. R.O.M. last few years of that tack module could be converted to metric. I'm 99.9% sure new machines can be switched completely to metric with a touch of a button. Take care
