sounds like a magnet problem, could you have a build up of dust aruond your magnetIJ we try to blow ours out every few days(both of them) seems to avoid problems for us or it may be a connection or magnet cleanerance problem sorry for not being more help Bob

I would check the switch If the same as 72 and 50 they are pulse on and pulse off. If the switch is dirty they will cause both problems. On our R50 it was the control unit. It acted up a few times one year. Next year it locked on until you stopped the engine. This year the control in the r72 (unload section) quit. Only cost 700 dollars because a $.10 diode most likely blow.
