I've had a "dirty" seperator clutch do that. Usually, dust alone is not a problem however dust together with moisture (mine was caught in a couple days of rain) can be.

you are in the right track - you can find the vibration by removing the shoe drive belt and other belts one by one until the vibration goes away. If it doesn't it is your main drive shaft either brg down or as stated in the clutch or rh Var Speed. I have seen one main clutch shaft warped on rh side due to a massive injestion of a chunk , just a 1_8" runout caused the vibration.

rotor belt off, no vibaration. belt on, gear box in neutral still vibration. gear box or torque hubIJ

Neighbors R50 picked up a vibration about 6 hours before the main drive shaft broke on the right hand side. He is still trying to find an early style shaft. There are plenty of new style shafts around.
