Try running the header a little faster, may be enough to throw the corn a bit closer to the feeder house Ben

gleaner did make false bottom for ch throat and it does help feed in that area,might have 1 in stock nw ohio

If you have hugger on old feeder ('81 and prior) It seems P_N would be 71506509. Otherwise the P_N should be 71363098 threw parts or 71371088 threw machinery. This sloped floor begins just behind auger and protrudes into feeder a couple inches. Price is cheap threw AGCO but can be fabricated easily also. Hopefully if hugger is on small machine the feeder has been narrowed up neatly. Also on basically all the Huggers we put out we had to extend flighting on auger to a center intersecting line. Otherwise the corn would build up between gathering chains and auger just ahead of where left and right flighting come together.
