Front should go no matter the year as long as plan on sprockets also.Remember the spacer between the right bearing shoulder of hex. Rear will work as long as you are doing sprockets. The amount of extra parts for rear will depend on year. May need right side plate and bearing flanges to accept larger bearing, sensor bracket, slip clutch, pulley, ect. Right about '95 or newer will require minimum amount of parts to switch up to the latest. Right about '94 or earlier is where the slip clutch was 6 bolt. That later 4 bolt clutch system (which earlier machines could of been switched up to) would be easiest.
