We designed the shocks to stabilize movement of drum. This improved the feeding dramatically while eliminating the noise. I can't say I've ever seen a mount ripped loose when using the Gleaner kit. I have seen a couple of the bolts that held the loewen shocks on break out side wall (needed a stiffener with this system). I'd suggest maybe to much heat with welder or something of that nature caused wall to get brittle. Might check to see shock has enough travel or don't bottom out with full movement of drum. It is the back shocks that were so important in our situation. I'd imagine the mount started cracking and then gave way on one side then the other was tring to do all the work failing it. When mount was going croaked it likely broke off end of shock. We maybe don't need shocks as bad these days with the floor mods but would be stuck in the water without them prior to this mod.
