the straw is being beat up differently. Check cylinder bars, clearance, wear, cyl. level, number of concaves, thresher beater speed etc This is the only logical explanation over the net. Check walker setting and if they have cob screens as well.

tbran,must be the cyl bars are worn quite a bit more on the kks than the reg.,the kks has new concaves and the reg has concaves that look like the cyl bars, (with grooves in them )must be the diff.,dumb question, what do cob screens look like and wheredo they goIJIJthe straw racks look the same to me . thanks ot

Walker screens are the proper name. They are a wire weldment that clips under the opening in the straw walker grids which reduces the square hole size down to an area which will not plug with corn cobs. Standard equipment on Corn Plus models.
