I would go with the speciality rotor just keep rotor rpms as low as possible, just above the point where kernels are staying in the heads. But I think that is what you are allready doing. Is the 1660 mounted with keystock gratesIJIJ I had a 1460 with standard rotor and plane grates, and upgrated to speciality rotor and keystock grates, and it was like riding on the back of a tiger... I must say that I am in a area with a lot of moisture, so i love the keystock grates, but in very dry crops it can damage the straw. I have no experience with Gordon bars. thats my two cents Mads

The gordon bars will help you in hard thresh conditions. I found I had to change the angle of the vains to slow the crop down or I would have grain loss. I live in Ontario also and I have a full set for sale. billann@amtelecom.net

You will absolutely love the specialty rotor. I don't even know if they still make the standard styleIJ! If you have the specialty and go with the Gordon Rotor bars, you will have the best of both worlds! We absolutely love the setup we have with our 1660. Put all Gordon bars on the front at least! They do work from my experience and we run alot of crops through it.

Put in a AFX rotor and you will really enjoy the harvest. Jack
