I think it would be a step in the plus as far as power most 1666s run around 210-220 hp range. Which you would like they handle 25 ft header with ease lot of guys in my area run 8 row corn heads on them too. They dont set speed records but they do a decent job. I think the only problem i had with them is bin capacity is a bit short 190 bu but that can be changed. They are basically a 2166 without new cab style. Most guys in my area ran 1460s before and said it was lot better goin to a 1666 lots more power and unloading is what i herd. So i imagine it would be a good choice for you to buy one

I was told to buy a 1666 if I ran 20' and 6 row corn. Instead I bought a 1688 for same money and am glad I did. The extra capacity comes in handy and can also go to bigger heads if I need to. CW

I have seen a lot of 7720's and every one has had the pump screwed up to probably more than 250. Horsepower is not a problem with one of those. If you like cutting green stem beans you might not enjoy running your axial flow as much, especially if it has a standard rotor. GS
